Lee Forster-Kirkham, Chair of Governors
Hello, I’m Lee Forster-Kirkham. I became a community governor here at All Saints in 2018, later becoming vice chair and most recently taking over the chair role.
I first moved to Hastings in 1997 and have firmly taken root. I’ve tried to make a difference to our local community through various public, voluntary and private sector roles over the years and am currently vice chair of Citizens Advice 1066 as well as being a governor here at All Saints.
In my day job I’m a civil servant working in the transport sector. In addition to more years in the civil service than I like to count, I have also worked in private sector roles running a shop, a pub and a theatre. I hope all of these things will give me a the knowledge and skills I need to provide effective oversight of the school and to lead an enthusiastic board of governors.
Over my four or so years being involved with All Saints has given me a real insight into the school’s life. What I have noticed, in particular, All Saints and the staff that I have met, is their commitment to the children and their focus on making learning exciting, positive and empowering. I am pleased and proud to be part of a Governing Body that is here to support – and challenge – All Saints' development as an academy. It’s refreshing to, once again, be able to wander around the school and see things looking more ‘normal’ after a difficult couple of years for us all.
When not working I live in St Leonards with my husband and my dog. We all know who is in charge!
