Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to our website. I hope you will be able to find everything that you need here, from copies of most recently updated policies, to links that will support your child with their learning. As the website is regularly updated with news and information we are hoping that you will want to return to it frequently.

All Saints is a junior school at the heart of the Old Town community and we benefit hugely from the support of our parents and local parishioners, with creative ideas and practical help.

At All Saints we strive to provide a vibrant and exciting curriculum of the highest quality, founded on Christian principles; teaching basic skills through creative arts and celebrating all talents. We are a warm, friendly school, where children feel safe and secure in a learning environment which stimulates and motivates them. We offer a wide range of extra-curricular opportunities, catering for those with sporting, musical or artistic skills, as well as providing fun learning opportunities.

Our most recent OFSTED report stated that 'behaviour continues to be good, with no evidence of even low-level disruption in lessons. Pupils know what is expected of them and they continually meet these standards.

We aim to provide each child with a truly personalised learning experience which will enable them to grow in confidence and maturity, and provide the basis for a lifelong love of learning. Our RE inspection stated that, 'within a strong Christian ethos all pupils are valued greatly…there is strong emphasis on developing pupils' creative skills as well as their academic ones. All Saints is a happy school in which pupils are encouraged to take on responsibilities. This has led to them making an outstanding contribution to the local community of Hastings.'

We work together with parents, staff, governors, our local church and pupils to ensure all those involved in our school are contributing to the way it develops, and we are particularly proud of our active School Council. A recent HMI report stated that the school is 'a happy and harmonious community'.

Please take the time to explore our website, and provide any feedback you think would be helpful either by telephone or e-mail. Of course the best way to find out more is to visit our school. If you are interested in finding out more about the school or enquiring about spaces please contact the school office on 01424 421397 to obtain a prospectus, or make an appointment.
