At All Saints we strive to ensure that age, gender, attainment, special educational needs, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity and background are equally accepted by all people within the school – children and adults.
Staff are reminded that (as set out in the Equalities Policy) children with behavioural difficulties that are now defined as disability must not be discriminated against on the basis of behaviour arising from their disability.
This is evident in the attitudes, behaviour and personal development that underpin our ethos.
The Senior Leadership Team is responsible for overseeing this policy, its implementation, continuance, monitoring and regular review.

Educational and welfare provision for pupils with EHC plans and pupils for whom English is an additional language:
We currently have 8 children who have an EHC (Educational Health Care) plan. We work closely with East Sussex County Council and outside agencies that are linked to EHC plans. We monitor progress on a regular basis. Children with EHC plans have interim targets set twice a year, and have an annual review at the end of the academic year.
We currently have 6 EAL students. Assessments have been completed by the TEALs Service. The Academy's wellbeing grant is helping to fund Speech and Language support in school.
